The macho hero Vijay is ‘Kanteerava’ for Ramu Enterprises 30th film that is a remake of ‘Simhadri’ Telugu film of Jr NTR. This will directed by Tushar Ranganath. Soon after completion of two projects ‘Veera’ starring Malashri and ‘Gandedhe’ starring Chiranjeevi Sarja and Ragini the noted producer of Kannada cinema is taking up ‘Kanteerava’.

In the past Dr Rajakumar starring ‘Ranadheera Kanteerava’ was made by Kannada Film Artistes Association in the direction of NC Raj in 1960. That was a historical movie on the intrigues of Mysore kings. This film was made in the lean period of the Kannada cinema industry. There was a dearth of productions. Rajakumar, GV Iyer, TN Balakrishna and Narasimharaju took the lead and formed the association. This was the only film by the Association.

Vijay is ‘Veera Bahu’ for S Mahender directorial venture of producer Sandesh Nagaraj. He has completed ‘Shanker IPS’ and working for ‘Kari Chirathe’ as of now.
